GREGORY E. LAWLER
Greg Lawler is the managing partner of Lawler, Metzger, Keeney & Logan, LLC. He works with the firm’s telecommunications clients on a wide range of issues, providing strategic advice on both legislative and regulatory fronts.
Mr. Lawler has worked in the White House as a Senior Policy Advisor. He coordinated the Clinton Administration’s health care reform effort, working closely with President Clinton, the First Lady, members of the Cabinet, and members of the White House legislative staff.
Prior to his years at the White House, Mr. Lawler served as Legislative Counsel for New Jersey Governor Jim Florio, where he developed the Governor’s legislative agenda and worked with the New Jersey State Legislature.
Mr. Lawler has served as Chief Counsel and Staff Director for the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Energy and Commerce, Subcommittee on Commerce and Transportation, where he supervised the Subcommittee’s legislative, oversight, and investigative activities in environmental, transportation, and consumer issues.
Mr. Lawler is a graduate of Yale College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree (1969). He received his law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School (1972). After graduating from law school, Mr. Lawler won a Rotary International Fellowship and studied with the Faculté du Droit at the Université de Paris I. He is a member of the bars of the District of Columbia and the States of Connecticut, New Jersey, and Ohio.
